DD's room

It's been a long time since my last post but I am just catching my breath. We finished the room, picked DD up from camp and have been so busy since. And the house is still a wreck from before the painting.
Anyway, here is DD's new room:

She still needs curtains and a bed skirt / dust ruffle but I think its pretty cool and she loves it!
Just wait til I finish the quilt.

Busy weekend

Well, I have been up to all sorts of sewing as documented at my other blog: http://sweettsews.blogspot.com/
But we also spent the whole weekend painting CJ's bedroom "smokin' orange". I hope she likes it. I also made some blackberry freezer jam. And I wanted to post a layout that I did last weekend:

This is an awesome pic of one of my fav nephews. I also made him something with a copy of the pic and he was concerned that I did not have a pic of him so I wanted to show that I did.
